This is extremely correct. It is OK to repeat yourself. Do it a few times so you can figure out where this abstraction needs to be. It’s OK.

The javascript community fought hard for the fat arrow syntax, () => {}.

It’s shorter for sure. But way more annoying to type on a regular basis than function() {}.

And that is the folly of programmer culture IMO. Constantly optimizing the wrong things for the wrong reasons.

In my day we had to make websites by slicing images in Photoshop and exporting them to Dreamweaver to create table based layouts that broke if anyone changed the text… uphill. Both ways. In the snow!
