Or good design is considering all the ways something could go wrong and smoothing those problems over so the entire experience comes off as intentional and well designed.
Good design is invisible and doesn’t call attention to itself.

True. You have to understand the pros and cons of each layer in the stack and how it affects the experience if there is a failure.
