@jonathanober I was trying to fix a non-smiling kid face in a photo with a smiling one. Using the right tool for the job and all that.
I’ve used xD a couple of times. Seems pretty nice. But I would probably just jump straight to the browser if I were starting a web design from scratch.
@JoAnnStilley My Dad was trying to think about when the first birthday party he went to was. Said kids never had parties that young in his day. And anyone who would come would have been from the neighborhood.
@anthonydpaul I really should have codepen.io/mandymichael/pen/xpLN…
@anthonydpaul Not “if” but “when”…
Anyways here it is. I think it looks neat. And the PSD I ripped off hyperpix.net/text-effects/gold/3…
Wife: “Thanks”
** Uploads it to a dinky square in an Evite template that she sends out to her friends who would come no matter what the invite looks like **
Me: le sigh
** Spends hours finding a Photoshop file I can just edit the text and be done but Photoshop keeps crashing because its such high resolution and life like**
Me: “Here you go! It’s perfect. Look at that detail and it just pops so wonderfully…”
Wife: “Can you come up with a design for Zadie’s 5th birthday party invitation?”
When I was younger I was ok at Photoshop. Now it’s just a confusing clumsy mess and everything is hard and I would rather have someone else do it.
Photoshop still feels just as laggy and slow. Wonder how they manage to pull that feat off after a decade.
@GarthDB You need a JOBY gorilla pod
I liked this article and think others should read it, so I retweeted it. twitter.com/TheGreenGreek/status…
@Heimlich Your Twitter handle is awesome. Yours too @russell
@Rmmmsy fs 180 nose grind to GOOFY
This guy is the anti-influencer.
<pre> vs <xmp>
codepen.io/kingkool68/pen/KKKjXR…
Or why the <xmp> element is awesome when you’re debugging stuff…
@Stammy Haha $2MUCH
@smarty I just spent my morning downloading some free PSD thingy to make a gaudy 3D gold text effect for my 5 year old’s birthday invite.
Photoshop crashed numerous times while trying to get it done.
@chriscoyier I was recently playing around with a GitHub action that automatically SSH’s into your server and runs a git pull to update automagically.
