Me: Cool my MacBook Pro has Touch ID so I can setup a pretty complicated password that I won’t have to type in all the time to unlock my computer because I can just use my finger.

@MichellePhan This is where I think a lot of young people are today. The problems may not be in habitual notification bells & likes — they may be in an explosion of culture. On the infinite horizon, everything disappears into the background. Cultural interests are becoming cultural exhaustion.
@MichellePhan You used to have to be selective. It wasn’t long ago when choosing the wrong torrent meant a days work was lost. It wasn’t long ago when iPod and cassette constraints forced a ranking bias. Radio used to be something synchronous. Abundance made it disappear into the background.
