@ASpittel @code The only thing I really miss from Atom was the find and replace UI (flight-manual.atom.io/using-atom…). Is there an extension that improves the find and replace within @code ?

A lot of times, AWS is like that Scooby Doo meme where Scooby and Shaggy pull the mask off the bad guy, and it just ends up being EC2. Sagemaker? EC2 with Jupyter. Lambda? Ephemeral EC2. Redshift? DB on a couple EC2s.

FTP deployments are so slow. Why isn’t every deployment just a git pull on the server?

There’s another takeaway here: The next time you get impacted by some legacy code, don’t think to yourself “What were they thinking?!” but instead “What were their assumptions way back then?” It’s a good way to instil empathy for those that came before you.

Can people just post their blog posts on their own sites already?
