@feather sk8boarding mdskate.russellheimlich.com/
@andybelldesign dummyimage.com and here is why I made it russellheimlich.com/blog/the-his…
tl;dr it solved a problem for me, scratched an itch
@davatron5000 Reminds me of this blog post about another dev who made a shed danielbachhuber.com/2018/01/18/s…
@Rmmmsy Get her one of these which are too slow to run multiple apps at the same time. She’ll lose interest amzn.to/2Xb18HA
@zachleat I just realized I have nytimes.com disable JavaScript and it mostly works and there are no annoying paywalls.
@Rmmmsy Props for being open about this.
@dburka I always liked the design of Pownce
@chuckborowicz I feel like most of my talks are rather boring to listen to. I always try to throw in some humor because if I can get people to laugh then I know they’re paying attention.
@paulca Just listened to the episode and I dig your insights into enhancing a server side app with Vue. Worthy of a follow 🌟
@MrAhmadAwais @chriscoyier @cloudinary @smashingconf @reactjs @nodejs @zeithq I’m guessing there is some sort of in person part of this site. Otherwise I don’t get it.
@dvassallo You earned it
@mjacksonw So sorry for your loss.
@chipcullen Sys admin tasks is what sealed it for me.
@1Marc They’re all on autopay. Costco card offers 4% back on gas, Target RED card gives you 5% off and my wife shops there all the time so why not. It’s like a fun engineering problem in efficiency.
@1Marc Another tip is to make a spreadsheet with your various credit card benefits. For example, Amazon Prime card offers 5% cashback for Amazon purchases so that is the default card for that. It also offers 0% foreign transaction fees so that is what we use when out of the country.
@1Marc Does your Alliant Cashback Card have a yearly fee? Reading about it online seems to say it has a $99 yearly fee after the first year. I’m using Cit’s Double Cashback card for unlimited 2% cashback without a fee.
@brad_frost Man I wish this thread existed when I went to design my wedding website way back when…
russellandkristina.com/ and of course we also have kristinaandrussell.com/
@katiekovalcin An idea of something they want to make and then they can figure out how to get there step by step. I learned JavaScript after fiddling with an Excel spreadsheet because I wanted to crop photos to certain aspect ratios.
