Hey y’all… I have an opening for a Sr/Lead UX Engineer for the design system framework team. I’d really love someone with strong accessibility engineering chops. We’re also moving to web components, so there’s that. #GoodHumansPleaseApply

I lost my job today & I’m looking for work! I’m a damn good Unity programmer, with multiple highly-regarded shipped commercial games on desktop & mobile, including The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. Can also design! Looking to start maybe a month or so from now. Help a girl out đź’•
We’re hiring a Full Stack position at GoFundMe. If you’re in San Diego or would consider moving, definitely apply. It’s been the best place I’ve ever worked boards.greenhouse.io/gofundme/jo…
If you set aside that the source is just built via JS and look at what it builds, well friends it is built with a bunch of CSS classes. CSS’ initial release was in December 1996.

The higher up the abstraction stack you work the less you seem to value the lower level abstractions that allow you to do it. It’s disheartening to see modern web developers valuing tooling but believing HTML and CSS are ignorable automated implementation details.
Here’s a thing we never did as 1990s web developers: serve a website which has no content at all other than <script> tags. Feel free to copy that next time rather than the starry background. t.co/G1QdT0Onj8
@NuttySwiss @UkiahSmith “Recently, I was asked if I was going to fire an employee who made a mistake that cost the company $600k. No, I replied, I just spent $600k training him. Why would I want somebody to hire his experience?”-Thomas J. Watson (IBM)
Thanks for going further by focusing on character.
Ok people. Lemme drop some advice for ya.
If a person makes a mistake, and deletes your production cloud project, owns up to it, helps fix it, researches and fixes the system that allowed the mistake to occur, you don’t fire them. You ask them to help you hire more like them.
Create a blog and write for youself, not for fame or popularity. Good, relevant content gets noticed and shared eventually (and btw there’s no shame in promoting ur work whenever u can), but plz don’t refrain from blogging just cz u think ur content won’t become famous overnight.
Casting music to my TV via YouTube Music is actually pretty nice. I wish Google wasn’t littered with services that duplicate functionality. Can’t import my Liked tracks from music.google.com ? Come on, man!

This is a good article and relevant even to web developers and designers. But I implore you to not visit petapixel.com because it is so bloated and overloaded with filthy ad JavaScript that the page locks up every few seconds. twitter.com/petapixel/status/109…
