I was in and out in about 30 minutes at the regional passport office. Spent more time driving in traffic to get there. That’s a plus. The downside is my passport won’t be ready until 11:30am tomorrow so I have to go back to pick it up.

The website says “appointment only” but they’re all set up for walk-in appointments.

If you’re taking your passport photo yourself you need to follow these requirements. travel.state.gov/content/travel/…

Pretty easy to print it out at home on glossy photo paper.

Filled out forms, took my own photo, woke up at the crack of dawn to drive to DC, and here I am. Waiting in line at the regional passport office to be checked in as a walk-in.

Rebooked my flight to the next earliest available time (Saturday) to buy some time.

Went to check in for my flight to Cancun last night. Entered my passport info and realized my passport had expired. Uuggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

This is a great example of how to use Twitter to create engaging local content with low production costs. A local publication should be able to have their own sponsored ad placement on a thread like this.
