Saturday
– 7 year old’s soccer game; they lost 1-0 but are getting better with each game
– 5 year old’s soccer practice; so hot
– Napped
– Setup the inflatable pool in the backyard; kids had a blast

Sunday
– 5 year old’s dance recital; she did great
– Did a pirate treasure hunt via hocopirateadventures.com/; snuck it in just before big storms rolled through
– Walked to the neighborhood tot-lot and played in the sandbox

I’m no couples therapist, but I know the secret to a strong marriage is gossiping about how various friends and family can possibly afford things on their income.

After getting back I got sick and … (drum roll) … I have confirmed COVID. Womp womp.

I’ve been quarantining in my bedroom since Sunday. My back hurts from laying down so much. The first day was the worst with body aches but I mostly slept it off and feel decent now.

The wife and kids went out and got a COVID test after I tested positive and they both came back negative. Don’t understand how that works since the wife was with me the whole trip 🤷‍♂️

Other than that everything else is fine here. What are you up to?

Life updates for the bird site:

Last week I went to Portugal for a company offsite. We’re 100% virtual and need events like this to bond and connect in person. It was awesome.

The wife tagged along as the trip coincided with Mother’s Day and her birthday. Plus she loves to travel. So we headed over early and stopped by Barcelona and Madrid. Beautiful cities.
