Cashier at Home Depot noted it was the 4th or 5th Nest Thermostat sold today by her. Hmmm…

It’s 45° out. Plenty warm enough for the heat pump to do its job. Tech said I needed to get a new thermostat. So I got a Nest Thermostat E.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but today my 1st Gen Nest stopped telling my heatpump to heat. Tech came out. Mentioned thermostat want giving enough power to turn the heat on so it fell back to cooling mode.

Eventually made it to 95 South and came home like normal. Fun times.

Only had to dodge one partially downed power line and almost ran into one tree in the road otherwise everything was fine.

Needed to cross the Susquehanna river but 95 South bridge and route 40 bridge were closed due to the high winds.

After several hours of driving around back roads and waiting for Waze to install on a slow data connection during standstill traffic I eventually made it to the Conowingo Dam which was open but slow.

Drove home to Columbia, MD, from Philly last night during a high wind advisory. Took @livlab home after her train was cancelled.
