@taupecat I’m convinced Gulp files are write only and never meant to be read again after it is working.

@taupecat If you enable “show_in_rest” and the taxonomy key is “status” being able to make updates on any post associated with that taxonomy will break.

@taupecat Probably an extreme edge case but you should check to make sure the taxonomy slug isn’t a reserved route already…
