So yea… voice interfaces are neat and full of potential but there are a ways to go before we get a truly smart home.

I can raise or lower my thermostat with my voice. But I never change the temperature of my thermostat. Snooze…

I got some wifi plugs to turn things on and off but I can’t think of what I want to use them for. Turning on/off lights by voice is dull.

Other devices want to charge a monthly fee to work with Google Assistant. Forget that!
